National Take a Hike Day is celebrated on November 17th each year to encourage people to explore the outdoors, breathe fresh air, and enjoy all the wonderful benefits of hiking.
Why Celebrate?
There are over 60,000 miles of trails across the nation. Some of these established trails are new, while others are decades or hundreds of years old. Regardless, all hiking trails offer great exercise, the beauty of nature, stress relief, and a well-deserved break from screens.
